You should take note that the bang will be VERY loud (which is why many people use earmuffs) and it may spring back, especially if you can’t take the pressure.
You may feel the recoil of the butt against the shoulders and the bullet would crash an echo, breaking the sound barrier.
The recoil won’t hurt, and at most, it would sting you. But the excitement may drown that stinging down. You might also require little adjustment after. You can practice stability with your gun after a few more shots.
Also, you will also have to bear the smell. The scent of gun powder will fill the air, which is a bit smelly for many.
This is why I recommend you to practice with a light and easy gun like the M-16 or a handgun. I also urge you to practice shooting in a reputable center with professionals who can teach you, as well as give you the proper protection to keep you safe and comfortable during your first few shots.

My sister told me that I should buy a pistol if I’m going to live in a neighborhood that is full of burglars so I’ll be able to protect my property. I think I should find someone who will train me first so I’ll know how to properly handle a gun. It’s good to know that the recoil of the gun will not hurt me as long as I handle it well, so I’ll be sure to get trained first before buying one.
I’ve bee wanting to learn how to shoot, that’s why I’ve been looking for a training school that may help me out. I never knew that shooting will be easy one the proper positioning and handling is already mastered. Once I’m done with my training, I’d start looking for a shop that sells different varieties of pre-owned guns.
